I get the impression its more of a lull for a week before more
comes in!
Cheers Russell for the tip, not sure if you meant outside, on the
a pillar?

Thanks Martin
I nipped down to the local scrapyard this aft and picked
up some long door seals to cut to size.
Ive made what I hope to be a good connection round the
door and hard top and put a bead of silicon across the
roof meet point
Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough for it to
dry and I can put it to the test tomorrow

ISTR when Jago did a hard top for their jeep, that
they recommended waxing the body, and cleaning (with
acetone or similat) the hardtop. Then put a bead of
silicone along the joint, put the 2 together and wait
24hrs. When removed you have a perfect seal on the
hardtop! and nothing on the car body. Sounds like a
good move to me, but I don't know if it works. I'd
certainly try it myself if I had a need.

top query)
I've got to the point where I have puddles in the
front and rear drivers side on the 2+2. I've
checked the drain plugs in the doors and think
the soft top has pretty much given up being
weatherproof. It's a KAP one and it's probably as
good as ever, just the pure amount of rain we're
having is overwhelming it. There doesn't seem to
be any let up in the weather on the horizon, I
don't have a garage and a tarp is going to
disappear down the street.
I have a hard top, it's supposedly the better of
the two options, so I fancy digging it out and
fully weatherproofing it. What's the best way to
do this?
I seem to remember a previous 2+2 I had, the
owner siliconed the point where the hard top
meets the roof line, which while it was a bugger
to get off, worked nicely. He also ran two
channels down the side of the hard top past the
window frame to catch water I presume and either
send it over the front or rear of the roof.
What else have people found works well for them?
Have you added extra seals or done away with them
and also siliconed?
Thanks
Andy
