My white Quantum is getting the care it deserves now that my other projects have been completed. It is supposed to have a standard 1.6 CVH in it but the car sports Gaz adjustables and 4 into one with a mongoose system which shows some effort to get it to perform. The car does not like revving above 5000 rpm and falters as if running lean, however it will go up steep hills in 5th with a smidgeon of throttle which is most unlike any 1.6 I have driven before and I suspect its a bigger lump hiding in there.
This would explain the standard carb unable to provide the full needs. I have put bike Kwack ZX6 carbs on a Dolomite Sprint and also a Robin Hood S7 Pinto so am looking to do the same with this 2+2 of mine. Anybody put some on the CVH and what jets worked well?
