Interesting as he's just sent this reply:- Hi ,at this stage I can only give you comments :We are a motor factor and source our QH parts direct and not via a third party .Therefore , the parts supplied would be genuine Quinton Hazell track control arms .We do offer a 12 month warranty on these parts but, we would replace the parts and require the suspected faulty parts to be returned for testing. As the parts were purchased in April 2015 they are outwith the above warranty but, as a gesture of goodwill we are prepared to give you a 50% refund. Kind Regards Kevin
We'll see what happens next, as I told him I need to keep the TCA (as I'll use a poly bush) but am happy to return the bush from the TCA. I’ve never had any problems with First Line parts from eBay, at least they are still making parts. QH folded over a year ago and all the factory stores were bought by Specialist Engines in Essex (who sell on Ebay as well). Anyone else selling ‘new’ QH parts on eBay has had them sitting on their shelves for quite some time. Seeing the reference to parts on Ebay has prompted me to write this note. After an advisory on the MOT I replaced the offside track control arm on my Rickman ranger (slight play in ball joint). I bought the Quinton Hazell part off ebay (in fact I bought a pair). Fast forward just 3283 miles, and it's just failed the MOT due to play in the inner bush of the same part (and the tested wasn't making it up, I saw it as well). The parts certainly looked to be genuine QH, and I've put a bolt in the unused, nearside one and tested it in the vice and that one appears to be ok. I've asked the question of the vendor (but suspect I won't get a response). Maybe I'm fussy, buy I'd expect the inner bush to last at least 20k miles. It's certainly worrying, because as our cars get older it seems we can only get pattern parts either from local factors, with 'manufacturers' called 'First Line' or 'National' being examples which don't inspire confidence, or from Ebay.
