It's just prevalent in diesels. marine diesels and aircraft !! Petrol engines 
don't suffer the same fate only as you say JonAs Dave has said empty them 
completely or brim them full.I am going to put a new tank in and get the old 
tank refurbished then start again......better drive the Q more often 😁👍Regards

        Well I never have heard of this problem before. We have a diesel Mondeo 
as a family hack so must keep it moving and full up. Our Quantum 2+2 RS turbo 
only gets used for the odd track day now and sits there doing nothing but I do 
start it occasionally to keep it going. The only problem is the fuel evaporates

Hi Andy.Familiar with this one being a jet aircraft tech. It's why we tend to 
fill the tanks, no space for air or water.Best advice for prevention, if you're 
going to store the car for a while either empty the tank or fill it.
