Having discovered the footwells of my saloon with 1/2" of water in each one yesterday i need a new heater matrix. Luckily there was no trim fitted, just a lot of tools and parts sitting in the water.
I don't suppose anybody has a new genuine Ford one they want to sell ? Or knows of a good pattern part, Aluminium with plastic end caps. Most of the pattern parts are made from copper and brass but they don't give off as much heat as the genuine Ford parts. I guess the corrosion inhibitor in the Antifreeze (orange stuff) is no longer working after sitting in the system for 10+ years. I know it has a life but didn't really think that would apply if the car wasn't being used, it's only done 1 trip to Donnington, that's it.
