i am trying some of the 3.0 patches; simple text, network broadcaster
and receiver. it's
working fine, bonjour wirelessly. great! but i get a maximum of 137
characters! so i try
setting up two broadcasters and two receivers, different port
numbers. i also set up
string length>conditionals>sample&holds between simple text and the
broadcasters.
this way i hope to switch to the next broadcaster. but i cant figure
out how to extract the
first 137 characters after swithing. and it seems that the sampeled
text isnt cleared from
the sample and hold whenever i erase it in the simple text patch. a
couple of questions:
1. is it possible to use more than one broadcaster and receiver at
the same time?
2. are there restrictions as to what port numbers to use?
3. what would be a nice way to make the string switch to the other
broadcaster? should
i use string multiplexer, string replace or queue?
