Hi!

I'm using the Austrian keyboard layout (essentially the same as the German one) and I just filed a bug report on this about 20 minutes ago. Let's hope Apple addresses this issue in an upcoming patch. If I remember correctly, this wrong behaviour was already present in Tiger's Composition Builder. I'm curious why this hasn't been fixed before.

The problem is not only that you have to enter '.' as a comma in the Quartz Composer's Editor window, but that you can't even enter anything for published Number input ports in the Viewer's panel. It doesn't matter if you're using a '.' or a ',' character as a comma, it always uses 0.01 as the value. Very annoying.

Besides: I think just about every European language uses ',' as a comma and '.' as a separator, except for English.

Greetings,

Marco

P.S.: My French has become so bad, I didn't even want to try to respond in French...

Hello, on Mac OS X10.5, quartz Composer 3.0 don't run correctly for frenchs. The tab "format" on International System preference is setting for french number format (where pi=3,14159 ans a Macbook cost 1000,00 euros, with commas)
You can see the bug in the video joined (268 kB). (*)

I must modifying number format to american format (where pi = 3.14159 ans macbook cost $1000.00) for deleting the bug, but this is not pratical for french whose would not comma for thousand separator.

Thanks for correct this bug (and I think there is a developper in Quartz Composer team who speak french...)

In the video, when I will manualy enter on keyboard the number 0,56 or 0,23 for exemple (with comma, as this is the rule in french), this give 0 when I press the enter key (or click on other field) and I can not change the number after with the cursor...
And enter 0.56 or 0.23 (with dot), don't run correctly.

NB : there is other country (Germany and Italy for exemple) who use comma for decimal separator, not only France...

Sorry for bad english langage.
