I was thinking about building a plug-in with the QC xcode template -
anybody know if/how that would be done?

I'm no JS expert, so I may be totally wrong. That said, you're
allocating result every time it runs (var result = new Object
();) JS by default isn't persistent; meaning, it doesn't retain
values across frames. You need to do some trickery to get it to
store values across frames. Such trickery is documented here:

JavaScript#Persistent_Memory (That's for Tiger, but I've had
success using similar constructs in Leopard).
Hopefully this is the issue....
