Use of LLVM is independent of the CoreImage Kernel Language. In
essence, LLVM is an optimizing compiler so it can be used to optimize
the software implementation of Core Image, but has no direct impact on
the language itself.
Unfortunately, we can't comment on future directions just yet. Usually
this type of info (if available) is communicated at WWDC.

Hello,
I thought that Leopard's use of LLVM would also end in improving the
Core Image Kernel Language. I mean, the Core image Kernel language
is actually only a subset of GLSL, and does not support all
functions (noise, mat...). I believed that in Leopard, it would be
more compatible. But the Core image kernel language reference
documentation has not been updated in Leopard.
Are there any plans in a near future to improve that ? Is LLVM
related to the Core Image Kernel language in any way (maybe I
misunderstood the problem) ?
