there is a trick i do, if it works for you:
if your camera has an analog input, connect your miniDV camera to your
laptop through video output, make your laptop see the camera as an
external monitor, mirror screens, hit record on camera and run your
quartz composition...

Hi All,
i'm still a bit of a newbie and am fumbling my way thru QC pretty
well but have hit a brick wall and i hope someone can help!
i have built a QC patch that has seven "channels" or sub patches
that are either video or images and i have mapped midi cc's to
control various parameters and also keyboard shortcuts to enable the
channels and there is also audio input effecting things, so far so
good, what i want to do next is record a live performance of the
patch, hopefully via firewire to a miniDV cam or deck (double
hopefully in 16:9).
so far i have tried both QCTV and QCLiveDV, QCTV gives me a error
sound each time i try to select DV Stream and QCLiveDV while loading
the comp and sending it out, doesn't respond to key presses nor the
midi controller and doesn't give any option for 16:9, aarrgghh, so
is there a way to do this? via FCP? VDMX? i am on a 1.67ghz
powerbook g4, so screen capture software is kinda out of the
question processor wise.
any help or suggestions would be most welcome!
thanx in advance
scott
