In a lab setting, during the day we'd like to push news and other
stuff into idle computers' screens, as they sit at the login window.
There are some older hints around for running the screensaver as root
through cron, but could there be other ways to get a composition into

As an exercise, I tried adding a QC view to the loginpanel NIB file,
but (probably due to security) that doesn't work - it just prevents
the nib from loading. Additional windows added to that NIB don't seem
to load, either. I'm not too experienced in Cocoa, so perhaps there's
a way around that.
Any other ideas for a potentially simple solution?
