yeah, the imac has also got 2GB of RAM.. and 4mb L2 cache where my mbook only have 2MB. i just compared the gfx-boards and realized that the mboox (radeon X1600 256MB) had twice as much gfx-mem as the imac (radeon hd2400, 128mb). i dont know much about HW at all, maybe this is the big issue here.. however, my friends who tried the patch on their new mbooks (with the crappy intel gfxchipset) reports ~10fps which i find quite strange considering that the radeon hd2400 should be a lot faster than the intel atleast :) Should work just like loading any other font in a cocoa application.
