OMG--what have I done? (That's rhetorical). I am so humiliated over making such a blatantly wrong statement that I was going to commit hari-kari. Fortunately, I realized, just as the knife touched my belly, that I'm not Japanese. I realized my error while watching "The Good Thief." I never realized it, but Piicasso stole even more than Einstein (scientists usually call this 'standing on the shoulders of giants', or 'standing on the shoelaces of midgets'). Anyway, sorry to be off-topic. While watching the movie I realized that I hadn't reset the queue which filled up very quickly because someone decided to make the default "update continuously" which runs contrary to the central dogma of the rest of QC--only pull when a value changes. I only hope that I can get this sample .qtz file posted before I have to suffer some condescending, patronizing reply--but compared to hari-kari--that's not so bad:-). So, I'll send this off 'in the blind', so to speak, and hope the error has gone unnoticed.
Anyway--I removed the 'continuosly updating' entry and placed the loading of the queue under control of the mouse and keyboard. To reset the queue (don't forget this) hit the up arrow key. To load a gif of an iChat Photo icon (I had a really nice picture of France, but it was 2.1MB) click the left mouse button (actually the queue has the ability to fill until you release the mouse button, but since the image hasn't changed and the 'continuosly updating,' is false, no matter how long you hold it down it will load only a single image, each time you click it. If you enable 'continuously...' the que will quickly fill at the rate of xx FPS with duplicate images of the iChat gif. (xx being, generally the setting for FPS in the QC Viewer Preferences). Sorry, sorry, sorry, --aram
