Left click = draw
Right click = erase
Middle click = record a frame to an image queue. (displayed with a red tint in the bottom right corner)

When the composition starts up, it correctly displays the canvas, and the image queue is empty. However, as soon as a frame is recorded in the Queue (middle click), future drawing on the canvas eventually creeps into the queue (even if recording is disabled) - looks like QC or CI is improperly recycling an image that's still in use in the Queue. This appears to be a coreimage bug of some sort, but maybe it's QC-specific (I've also been running into similar problems in CI- accelerated app development without QC lately...).

So, is this recycled image thing expected behaviour? If not, is it a bug in QC, or in CI (for better bugreporter metadata)?

Fun tweak: putting all the drawing stuff in a Render In Image makes it behave as expected. This leads to believe that it's a bug...
