Double clicking to get inside a macro or 3D Transform/Lighting Environment etc etc is easier for me than RMB and selecting "Edit Macro..." (1 button mouse or wacom pen to choose from). Sometimes it doesn't seem to work at all and in another file it works fine. I can't fine a preference for this and it's be on my mind for months. I guess somebody on this list knows why?
Double clicking on them involves timing, and since QC isn't multithreaded, really slow compositions will delay mouse click events to macros far enough that they don't register as double clicks. So even if you click fast enough, the UI is too slow to realize what happened. If you stop/close the viewer, it should work fine for every composition.
