so i have been messing with the mesh files and finally got the right
settings for my .dae exports. i have been successful at creating a
vertex displacement map.i am still learning glsl so this question may
sound dumb but when i add a qc light patch and turn on the shadow it
only sees my original models vertex data and not the displaced
vertices. why is this ? you can see for your self.

now i realize that once im in the glsl mode i should be doing all my
lighting and stuff with glsl but still i like throwing in a quick
lighting and specular highlights with the patch. the shadow is new to
me so i don't know if this is a problem or if it is inherent to only
displacement. it seems mesh filters displace the verts as well but
that is not from a picture like this example, so what is the real
difference, is it an illusion or are the verts not really being
displaced as i think they would be. ???
thanks
i love qc i read the list all the time this is my second list question
you guys are helpful, it seems i have progressed from my last question
a few seasons ago. "how do you scale number so i can calibrate my i
touch to qc"
well that answer has been the most helpful to me external time
interpolation which i use on a daily so thanks for that. i think that
was mr wood and mr wrights expression worked as well.
so this is number 2.
thanks again.
