With any luck, documentation is forthcoming however they've been busy with new docs for both Snow Leopard and iPhone releases.
but I am having a few problems working with the qc4 interface. Mainly the replacement of the Patch creator with patch library and the disappearance of 'clips'. Are such clips as Rotating cube still available or have they been replaced with something else?
We are emphasizing Virtual Patches instead but clips will still work. To add a clip, it needs to go into ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Quartz Composer/ Clips
A virtual Patch can be added to ~/Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches Like Clips, Virtual Patches will not be broken (in Snow Leopard) if you open the composition on another machine. However, they are a little smarter because multiple references to the same virtual patch will only include one virtual patch. Great for re-factoring, and good for composition size too if the macro is copied all over the place.
Virtual Patches can also be created and maintained from the Patch Library.
If anyone has seen any QC4 specific tutorials for a complete beginner that would also be great!
Sorry about the interface change, but hopefully some will emerge soon. Troy
