I should add, for those who haven't tried this yet, that you can get
access to the raw pixels from a connected HDV camcorder. HDV is
1440x1080 natively, so you'll need to correct the aspect ratio, but it
looks great. This is from a Canon HV20, I'm sure others will work too.
