Hi.
The movie player is not compiled for 64 bit, and the new QC 4.0 editor
is a 64 bit app in 10.6. You can get the latest beta of the movie
player which has some nicer features, and loads in 64 bit (I think the
latest public beta has 64 bit mode support, but some features do not
work at all in 64 bit mode). However, its highly suggested that you
run things in 32 bit mode if you want to use my movie player (get info
on QC 4.0 editor -> 32 bit mode). Due to severe changes/shortcomings
of Quicktime in 64 bit mode in 10.6, some *totally drastic* changes
need to be made for Quicktime Playback to perform decently at all in
10.6 (a totally separate background process has to be created just to
decode movies, and frames need to be passed using a totally new API
called IOSurface that seems made to tackle these shortcomings). Its
really quite a shame. I ought to put it out anyway. For now, you can
find it at:

As for the screen capture, due to some issues with differing pixel
formats, I cant seem to get context sharing working with QC editor.
the screen capture works very well for apps that use QC technology
with a full screen context. I've taken this up with the OpenGL mailing
list, and it seems like sharing contexts from an initial windowed
OpenGL context to a new, created later full screen context will always
fail, which is an issue for how the screen capture works. I've tried
work arounds with some new methods in 10.6, but have yet to have
success. If anyone has any pointers id love to know, but for now, it
will work in VDMX etc, but not in the QC editor. Sorry about that. I
was hoping it would be doable in 10.6, or maybe im doing something
stupid...

screen capture,( VADE's plug ins) it does show on the list but once
I drag it in edit window, it doesn't appear. So I am having trouble
with this two plugins. I have also update the other plugins such
Rutettra and it loads fine.
Any body else have same problem? Any idea to fix it?
