100%. I never said that the settings panel was useless, just that it
should be avoided like the plague unless you are 100% positive the
functionality you want/need can only be realistically accomplished by
using it. I never said abolish it, indeed, I said, let me get access
to that view outside of QC. However, you are right that publishing a
view that adds or removes ports will indeed break connections within
the patch graph, and thats bad.
Alas, that seems to be the Achilles heel in the 'just publish the
view' solution. Oh well.
