The Midi Notes patch should listen to note-on messages and note-off messages 
and only flip bits when those messages come. That means that it should work 
like you expect, and I haven't seen any other complaints. It could be a special 
case with your setup? I see we handle "all-note-off" messages so perhaps your 
hardware is sending extra messages that we are handling as such?

Please file a bug if you can. Thanks for the heads up.
