When creating a multiplexer port and settings its number of inputs, there's an undisclosed limit to the number of ports (significantly lower than 2^31-1 which would be enforced by index ports in 32bit mode). Empirically, it's 128, but this value is never revealed to the user directly.

Instead, when exceeding that value you get a warning on 10.5 ("Maximum exceeded") and on 10.6 you get a negligibly more informative warning ("Maximum exceeded Please provide a valid value."). It would be much more helpful to be presented with the actual limit, so the user doesn't have to resort to trial and error.
