Hey everyone I have finished my first custom patches for quartz composer, along with my first video tutorial and my first cocoa programming at the same time.
In short, the grid breaks an image into cells and each of those cells can detect white. I use this as a simple way to find different amounts of movement in sections of the image. The video tutorial explains it a bit better. Let me know what you think and if anything finds it usefull. I am happy for anyone to use the patch or code just let me know :) Feel free to ask me to add functionality to it as well for you, right now it has the functionality i needed and nothing else.
