I'm trying to save a composition as a Virtual Patch that has Inputs and Outputs. I can (mostly) publish the inputs I want to and they appear as Inputs in the Patch when I import it from the Patch Creator. I can't seem to publish any of the outputs in a way that works.

Strangely on a top level Macro with 6 outputs, 3 are greyed out when I select Contextual Menu> Publish Outputs.

When I use the KinemeCore: Contextual Menu> Publish All Outputs it will 'publish' them all ie. they look published. The end results are always no published outputs when I put the comp into QC Patches folder in ~/Library/Graphics/….

I'm 95% sure this is for the same reason Renderer patches and patches with published outputs are not allowed to co-exist inside a Macro. I'm on Leopard; 10.5.8 running QC3. I understand Renderers and Published outputs are 'allowed' on SL.

Can anybody shine light on this for me. Any work-arounds regarding a Virtual Patch? (short of buying an Intel Mac and getting with SL joy, which is a good call in advance of that answer)

I'm using 2 Kineme Spooky Receive patches (inside the main Macro) and 2 Spooky Send Patches outside the main Macro.

Thanks in Advance
Alastair

ps.

I'll share this virtual patch once it's partner virtual patches are talking to it, part of my demo project for global variable library that can save different composition 'states' (or 'presets' in audio Synth terminology) without effecting composition runtime performance. Dropped it last year but decided to try and finish it due to the interest in Global variables recently. Intention is this is a model for how this might work in an Obj-C plugin or a feature of QC5.

Happy to PM the .qtz too.
