What's buggy about it? That bug # isn't on open rdar, so one can't see what you wrote is buggy about it. I don't remember having any problems with the patch. The reasoning that it was kept private because it's buggy seems highly unlikely. Plenty of private patches aren't buggy, and plenty of public patches are.
