I think QC is different from the other dev tools in this way,  in that it 
(also) attracts a certain user that is not used to reading the somewhat dry 
official Apple documentation.

Because of its nodal setup, ease of use and quick results, it shares a user 
base with apps like max/msp and processing, where video tutorials, step by step 
books and active forum communities are a lot more common.

I'm actually surprised no one has jumped into this hole, since there is indeed 
officially only book on the market, and one in preorder for the last two years.
