You would need to get the version of Xcode that shipped at the same time as Snow Leopard, which if I'm not mistaken was 3.2. You can get that here https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action (search for Xcode 3). It will also be on a disk that came with Snow Leopard but since this is a community college, I'm guessing that's not going to be easy to track down.
