4.9.35-19 (in current-testing) should be compatible with Ryzen as well, so you 
shouldn't need 4.11 for that. No suggestions on amdgpu, but I imagine it's 
possible if you're handy enough. :) 
As for the installer issue, the kickstart file approach should work.
