yes, this often happens to the N.0 release of software. Its a kind of gamma 
release (ie the one after alpha and beta)

Really? One of the things I read before downloading Qubes was that Win 7 is 
supported but not Win 10. I am reasonably sure that is somewhere in the user 
docs. 

It is possible I am recalling what I red in the Linux User & Developer six-page 
tutorial on Q 3.2.

IIRR it certainly was in 3.2 (there was even a set of software you could 
install inside the Windows VM to integrate things to some extent)

If Windows 7 is not yet supported in 4.0 then I would request that the relevant 
docdev adds that info to this page

Likewise, if it was intended to work but turns out not to, then the release 
notes should say so. That would give 3.2 users the ability to make an informed 
choice about whether it is time to upgrade.

This is not a complaint, just a request to know where the Q devs aim to be up 
to, and where they think they actually ARE up to.
