It is nothing new! This is NOT "Open Source Firmware" it is shimboot coreboot - all the hardware initiation work is done via FSP and coreboot is just there as a wrapper layer for FSP. More misdirection from intel trying to strangle their IBM OpenPOWER competitors in the crib now that they see there is a real market for owner controlled hardware.
