What do you think, will something like this be able to add more usb controllers to a laptop?

The idea is to add a USB keyboard to a laptop using a PCI USB controller, perhaps using another slot for an audio card or whatever. Having a separate keyboard will also allow to add an external monitor, making home use more comfortable for eye strain now that e-ink monitors are getting available.
