I've got the T480 as well and have had a generally pain-free experience with 4.0.1-rc2 so far. I mentioned it in a previous post (Color Me Impressed) and even went so far as to connect a TB3 Hub and move all of the wires (Ethernet, external monitor, and power) to it. I really only did it to see what would happen. Given the security issues presented by TB3, I stopped using it and just connect everything directly to the laptop. Small print on the screen is easily solved by an external monitor.
