Yes, it makes it nearly impossible to see the window titles, etc.; however: * Similar to others, I simply used a different colour for qubes that were assigned black (I had purple unused, so I chose it). I haven't changed all of them yet, but… * The window with the focus is highlit in the panel at the top of the screen. Since it only uses the appVM's assigned colour for the icon, the title is easy to read. A window that does not have the focus, including ones assigned black, are readable (though the title is a mid-grey, so not a strong contrast). * The window with the focus can be minimized either by pressing Alt+F9 or by clicking on its tab in the panel at the top of the screen.
