4GB ram is not enough to use qubes. 8GB ram _might_ work if you were a really experienced qubes ninja or just want to try it out for a weekend. using qubes on a chromebook with 16GB ram works ok, including boot from internal mmc or micro-sd. the storage performance is horrible though. "my default_qrexec_timeout is 300" level horrible. (this means the default-default of 1min timeout for vm startup was hit so frequently that i changed it to 5min...) and i would still recommend doing mild ram-usage ninjaing with 16GB, like using mirage for firewall and ssh-agent, and clamping down maxmem of a lot of vms. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group.
