I have a Solaris system running 5.7 and have initiated xntpd. The next day the system was unable to be logged into and this was due to /var being full. Since this system was admin'd by another administrator it wasn't fixed until 2 days later.
When the /var fs was fixed it was found that the date was 2 days off. Can /var being full cause ntpd to not keep the clocks in sync ?
