I'm looking at ways to improve monitoring on the ntp pool (right now it uses an sntp client which is less than optimal) - as a test I have the entire pool (660 servers) configured into one of my internal servers with "noselect minpoll 7 maxpoll 12". It seems to be working fine giving me info in the peerstats file and view ntpq.
