Hi all, Anyone done this ? I want to config a server, say, 192.168.1.1, that will (a) serve time to my other machines (say, 192.168.1.2/3/4...), and (b) periodically dial an ISP which will allow it to sync HIS time to an accurate source somewhere.
Great clock accuracy is NOT req'd, and I have to keep the phone calls short. I have ntp ver. 4.2.0 on a 2.6.14.7 linux embedded dist. on a Freescale board. Is there a way to jam the server's time quickly once the ISP's been dialed ? (Would this even be a good idea?) Might I just use ntpdate to quickly sync up once I've dialed my ISP ? Thank for the help!! Martin Rogers _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ntp.isc.org/mailman/listinfo/questions
