But somehow, one crucial fact seems to perniciously remain missing
from that idea. An NTP server's _clients_ would need to re-resolve
their named associations every so often. And they currently don't.
An association will simply dry up when the server moves.

You can play with the DNS all you want. But without client cooperation,
it'll go nowhere.
