Does anyone know if (a) as described above a default configuration in many Linux/BSD distributions? It doesn't seem to be configured this way with the ntp-server package in Ubuntu 6.10, but then again ntp- server isn't even in the default install for Ubuntu. Does anyone have any example scripts that address this? Might be useful on the ntp wiki.
