following the suggestion in this thread, I got a side meeting room booked for 
this conversation:

McGill on Wednesday, November 5 at 16:00 EST (before the plenary)

It's in parallel to AIPREF, but there were limited options.

McGill only seats 16 people. I'd therefore really, really, REALLY like to ask 
folks to self-reflect on if they can actively contribute to the discussion with 
insights or data that might get us to actionable outcomes. And if you are 
coming from $LARGECOMPANY, maybe agree ahead of time to have one of you 
participate.

I'm sure we can do a quick read-out of the main points from the side meeting at 
the WG session, so folks that would like to be informed of the discussion don't 
need to sit through the actual side meeting in listen-only mode.
