Is the dividend yield reported by QP the pure dividend yield..or does it also include things like year end capital gains payments..which may or may not be duplicated the following year? The reason I ask is because EQS sports a divvy yield of over 30% which does not look realistic to me. If the reported divvy yield does include such payments..it is misleading, wouldn't you agree? When a company pays these capital things..the price drops substantially to make up the difference. This seems to be a problem with all the screening tools i've explored on internet as well. You cannot accurately determine what the income from a security will be from these numbers.
