Because BGF is a rather new kind of security, being a stock/bond hybrid, it appears that most services, including QP and Yahoo are mis- quoting its yield. So, far, Merrill Lynch, my broker, is the only one that seems to have it right at around 8.3-8.5%. QP and other sources seem to list it at 4.2% or so...only counting half its yield. It is my guess that for this reason, this issue is not coming up on many screens for those looking for stable yield bearing issues...that pay a respectible yield. As these data sources correct this problem, I suspect that BGF will be coming up on more screens and the demand should grow...
