Gary:
FWIW, I am having the same problem on my desktop but not on my laptop both of which use the qp2 server. On my desktop, the OS is XP Home w/SP2 running QP version 3.1. On my laptop, the OS is W2000 Pro running QP version 2.2 (I never had the time to load version 3.1 on the laptop.) Every time I have had the problem, the downloader freezes at the end of the first bar of data coming in and before the name of the server is displayed (or should I say the name of the server never is displayed and then it freezes at the end of the first bar of data). Up until your message below, I have rebooted and it has always worked the second time around. The only thing I have changed on my desktop in the last few weeks, is to have upgraded Yahoo Messenger to version 8.0 from about v 5. I also did the same on my laptop but there is no download problem there. Hope this is of some help. We should know more in a few days. It's been using qp2 as the server. Any ideas why this is happening? Claud
