This problem might not be related to a specific version of Windows but could be a Win patch common to all versions, except perhaps Vista.
Like James Barone I download QP data into 2 machines but have had no trouble with either. My desktop runs XP SP1 ...... I have Win Update turned off and have not installed a patch in over 2 years. My laptop runs Vista and I have been auto installing "important updates" since I bought it 2 months ago. I wonder how many of those with problems have Win Update enabled?
