thanks Gary. Yes I found it out myself already as well. This can very well explain the difference in my backtest,
Also thanks for the splits table. I will have a look. regards, Ed ----- Original Message ----- From: gary To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, July 28, 2007 3:55 PM Subject: Re: [quotes-plus] changes in databse Hi Symbol NFI had a 1 for 4 reverse split on Friday, the date was wrong, it should have been Monday, I just sent out the correction for that. The smaster.qpf file in the quotes plus data directory is an MS Access database that contains a table name splits. If you have access, you can just open it with access, and view the splits table, if you don't have access, you should be able to do a query from Excel to read the table. I downloaded the data 28 July and my backtest changes. Usually I check 2 things: 1) check for stock splits 2) check if certain symbols in my list of symbols has been emptied out. Accoring to my information 2 splits have been executed of the 27-th of July: GMCR and SJR. Both splits are not visible in the data yet and will not change anything in my system. GMRK data is emptied out and the symbol is replaced with GLF but this also does not cause the difference in result. All other symbols that are emptied out do not cause my problem. There has to be some Nyse of Nasdaq stock that have been adjusted for a stock split as of today (7/28). Anyone know which stock(s)? thanks, Ed
