I upgraded to the current jaunty packages of the 2.2-rc3 build (
qutecom_2.2~rc3.dfsg1-7~jaunty1~ppa1_i386.deb<https://launchpad.net/%7Ecavedon/+archive/qutecom/+files/qutecom_2.2%7Erc3.dfsg1-7%7Ejaunty1%7Eppa1_i386.deb>),
and it appears not to be offering the speex codec? this was working with the
previous version I was using, which I think was RC2, but doesn't appear to
be available anymore...
