[17:11:28] <DrSlony> Hey, I just compiled latest qutecom 2.2_p20090606 from
portage on gentoo 64, I can hear answering machines when I call, but it seems
that
either my microphone input doesnt work, or something else is wrong
[17:11:58] <DrSlony> i have an account on ekiga.net, it works when i use ekiga
[17:12:02] <DrSlony> but i dont like ekiga
[17:12:20] <DrSlony> my input device in ekiga is "HDA Intel (PTLIB/ALSA)"
[17:16:23] <DrSlony> my ringing device and output device in ekiga are both
"Default (PTLIB/ALSA)" but my input device doesnt work when its "Default
(PTLIB/ALSA)", has to be "HDA Intel (PTLIB/ALSA)"
[17:18:15] <DrSlony> or "HDA Intel (1) (PTLIB/ALSA)" or "HDA Intel (2)
(PTLIB/ALSA)"
[17:28:26] <DrSlony> well i tried all the qutecom audio input device options
[17:28:33] <DrSlony> namely:
[17:28:41] <DrSlony> - ALSA: default
[17:28:44] <DrSlony> - ALC888: analog
[17:28:49] <DrSlony> - ALC888: digital
[17:28:50] <DrSlony> - ALC888: analog
[17:28:52] <DrSlony> none worked
[17:29:39] <DrSlony> i recompiled using portaudio and now the first "ALC888:
analog" works fine
[17:29:46] <DrSlony> not the second "ALC888: analog" though
[17:30:11] <DrSlony> i also get some buffer underflows and other errors in the
console

console:

Now that my microphone works, I need to test with another human. I had quite
serious echo/squeeling issues with the echo test, I didn't have these issues
when
calling the same echotest using other clients (ekiga, kphone).

QuteCom's GUI is wonderful!
