I am in the same boat. I REALLY want to get this recompiled with an updated
Pidgin/libpurple so that I can use it instead of having to go with
Counterpath's Bria softphone (as I hate the limitations closed commercial
software brings). But I have been unsuccessful in everything I have tried
so far.

I am signing up for Google Wave to check out what you have done so far.
Hopefully I can be of some help.

Subject: Re: Visual Studio 2008

Hi, I'm also trying to compile Qutecom on Visual Studios 2008 on Windows
XP 32-bit (Virtualised on a Windows 7 machine).
My method of solving the dxtrans.h issue was to directly link to it in
the DirectX August 2007 SDK from qedit.h.
If there is a better way to solve this issue please tell me about it.

I currently have some 58 errors and 2020 warnings. I have tried to
document all of the errors in a google wave.
If you would like to help simply add [email protected] and
'ping' me that you would like to look at the Qutecom wave.

Thanks,
Rory Glynn
