In my opinion more flexible solution would be to get a proper
implementation of XCAP contacts list in QuteCom (there is already
development version here #247 + QuteComWebServices). This would allow to
hook QuteCom contacts list into LDAP, MySQL database or whatever you like
and send them via XCAP.
