Hmm, the only qws scripts I know of are the ones that the x-sight team are working on. We are developing new ones but for the time being I do not think they have this functionality. The main function of them is to allow you to insert new tracks with the default keystroke since J_AWS_ uses the insert key as a modifier key. I am not very good at jaws scripting myself and the examples are almost nonexistent, but if I can find a decent help file on it I can probably create scripts.

I forgot you use super n***. Anyway I'll let you know how the scripting goes. I know people who can probably help me out with it. If I or someone else makes scripts or set-files (for window eyes,) would you consider putting them on your site?

Thanks,

Simon

well, I guess in that case it would be more of a jaws scripting thing
than
anything else.

Didn't someone already do this: make enhanced J*** scripts for QWS? If I
remember, the scripts had quite a lot of functions. Anyone like to comment?

... Not sure if you
can do this, but there is a sort of sdk for jaws out there and I was
thinking you could, in a future version, actually link qws to jaws ...

Enough ...

Thus far, there is no specifically written screen reader code in QWS. If
at all possible, I'd like to keep it that way - if nothing else, to show
that writing decently accessible software that does something useful is
certainly possible.

I would be very reluctant to go down the J*** SDK route unless there is some
very compelling reason. If you can do it in scripts - if you need to do
it at all - then that is better.

I hope this doesn't sound too dogmatic.

Hope this helps.

James.

PS you may gather that I do not use J***.
